Having used Pixel 6a, I think Xperia still slightly better for the screen and SD card slot...

Pixel 6a has this yellowish tint on the screen

Search for mobilelitesg. You can order online or contact him directly to arrange meetup for screen protector application.

What you guys thoughts about getting export sets? My experience with Xperia has been generally pretty good. Most major issues generally occur after warranty expires:
S - touchscreen digitiser starts being much less responsive slightly over 2 years
Z3 - No issues throughout
XZ - Battery bloat around 30 months in
5ii (current) - OLED screen lines around 22months in

Since never get to activate warranty anyways, starting to wonder if its worth the extra premium for local sets. Seems like from the mkIV onwards SG also getting less colour variants =(

Can only think of 2 things that may be of concern with export sets:
- If export set, flash local firmware, can still get OTA updates?
- Telco compatibility, if the bands are usable in SG.

For the price no. 15 months of warranty is applicable when you register online when buying directly from sony sg

I don't know about flashing. Bought mine from HK... No issues with volte and 5G (current 5g singtel)
But as they say, not really 5G.

The thing with Xperia support in SG is the price if the problem is not covered by warranty. I shared my story in the other thread. To continue on that, I eventually went to Sony SC at 313 Somerset. They quoted me "$1090" and then separately in another email inquiry, "$1020". They don't have ready parts and can only order one if I send in my set. That will take weeks. The latest iPhone 14 and variants probably only cost half of it at most. I can get a new 5 IV HK set for about the same price too. Haiz...

Have my own story regarding my 5ii as well. SG set, warranty expired, 313 service centre quoted me 1k for screen replacement. Haiz...

The responses so far like nay 2/3 for export set. But I'm weighing the cost of local warranty like almost $400 for 15months.. o_O
