Painful.... o_O

Such a rubbish comparison. The computational photography on the Samsung and iPhone overdoes the saturation, colour balance, highlights, and even adds in details like the denim on the jacket based on the calculation of the approximate area in the photo. It's like the camera already does its own post-processing and calls the image a raw one.

If you edit the photo from the Sony in Snapseed or Lightroom Mobile, it won't look flat either.

I really don't care about these comparison videos any more. Any photo that I upload onto socials has to go through an editing workflow, and I would rather edit a naturally captured and processed photo than one that has already been heavily processed by the phone's software - you're not going to recover a lot of details

Of course....been already discussed to the grave what Sony Xperias philosophy is. Already own 2 consecutive devices to more than understand that direction.

But it doesnt bode well to want to expect Sony's latest newest device to try to gain more new gen followers and yet not go the way of dinosaurs... in this social media age not everyone has to be pro photographer to have to appreciate any camera 1st phone 2nd slab tech o_O ;)

The things some people do to push a certain agenda. Same thing a salesperson tried to sell TV by making it oversaturated and told me the colours looked superb. But that is the problem with sony always sticking to own standards without appealing to the mainstream sheeps. They can't expect to sell well by adopting niche standards.
