Sophos keeps updating (non-stop)

anyone encounters this upon updating to Maverick? Realised upon the update, Sophos would run non-stop! Currently using sophos 9.0.3. Googled but to no avail; tried uninstall and re-install too.

If possible get a 'sample' of the SophosAutoUpdate process (in Activity Monitor select 'View' | 'Sample Process' when it's stuck downloading).
