what mac app u all use to convert pdf or other ebook formats to suit the kindle / paperwhite 3?

My workflow is
1. Use https://sigil-ebook.com/ to create .epub. (Others may prefer Calibre. PDF is always tricky. Plain text is usually best.)
2. Use https://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?docId=1000765261 to convert to .mobi for Kindle.
