Hi, I looking for a sound card that's able to provide below specs:

Playing FPS games.
Watching movies.
Listening to musics.

Speaker used: Creative T40 II
Headset used: 7.1 headset (seldom use)

Budget for sound card: $80

Thank you!:D

Seriously just stick to onboard. Don't waste time and $ on sound cards anymore.

Wouldn't make much sense to get a sound card since your speakers are kinda ... well... Low end ? Sorry.

Use the on board sound if you do not intend to upgrade those speakers. If you do then perhaps you can get an upgraded sound card in tandem

T40 II actually quite good.. I, using it for quite sometime already with my onkyo soundcard....
Onboard or not you can hear the difference with this speaker

yea... if u want to hear a big difference from what u already have, prepare to spent big

Precisely. Minimum internal sound card, Asus STX. That or TS shouldn't bother with low-end sound cards. Even my onboard Realtek 898 does a decent job with my Swans

Thank you everybody for the input. Everybody is saying that low end sound cards don't give much enhance.

Unless what ark law said go for asus STX. But looking at the price, I don't think I need that good card either.

So I will save my money.
