South America - advice needed

Hi all,

Just need some advise from seasoned backpacker esp those who had done SA before....
1.Any jabs that is a def must take before flying over?
2.Also wrt to insurance, any good lobang, esp for a period is 1 year?? (Never bought any before since all these while my trip are short)
3. Any die die must see places? ( as of now I am still thinking of go there and see what to do next mentality, no planning) my only intention is to start in Argentina go down South and loop up to C. America( if got time, if not Columbia) and back to brasil.... Hopefully by then the football crowd will be gone...

The yellow fever jab is a must for visa applications to Bolivia and Brazil.
In any case, I suggest you pay a visit to the Travel Clinic in TTSH (tan tock seng hospital) where they'll advise you what kind of jabs etc needed, depending on the countries you visiting.

You really won't want to pay for a 1-year travel insurance. I think its just not worth it.

There's just so many places. I suggest dropping by sgtravelcafe and do provide your areas of interest etc
There are also already quite a few threads about SA, RTWs, visas and stuff. Do a search there
