Virus outbreak don't sustain long if the virus is too deadly as there would be no more hosts to infect. Evolution would ensure that viruses become less deadly in order for the viruses to survive.

yea only if humanity survives long enough for subsequent waves of attenuated strains to emerge.

with today's interconnected and densely packed societies, you could easily see 90+% population wiped out by a 100% mortality virus before the 1st wave is even done.

The worst kind of virus is those that are infects a person but shows no symptoms for long periods but still able to infect others.

Like hiv

Imagine HIV is airborne and there's no known cure. And this virus can incubate for years and still spread to others unknowingly until the whole world kenna before it outbreaks...
