I've had my Altec Lansing 321 for over 10+ years (last really long huh) and I freaking love it. Thumping bass (which can be adjusted) and no distortion at high volume. Everytime watch movie, explosion sounds is like ... SHIOK! But however, recently the left side speaker failed. Saddedz

I ended up buying a Creative T3150 by impulse at IT show for $59 (U.P. $79) but boy was i disappointed.

I went to challenger to test out various speakers and I really liked Creative T3 and Logitech 623. However they are way out of my budget

Does anyone have any speaker recommendations for my budget which is around ~$100?

Anything below $100 all really sounds the same. There is not much difference to hear from as all are crap speakers to begin with.

Minimum like what the rest have mentioned, Swans M10 2.1 speakers. $109 (PC Themes)

If u r willing to go for cheap 5.1, there is the edifier M1550, if bass and surround r wad u care abt. I'm personally using it for my pc. Just that u gotta do some cable management to its tangle of wires.

How much more is t3? Just save up the remaining and get t3. U might regret not spending a bit more

Thanks guys.

Wow i've been see-ing a lot of positive feedback about swans m10 everywhere.
Is it suitable for gaming and movies?
I'm gonna go cybermind and try it out soon.

Anyways T3 is $229. Hahah that's double my budget :s22:

Maybe while I'm at cybermind i'll try out the edifier too

Great for movies & music. Decent for games. Reason being the bass not as strong as the speakers focus more on vocals.

But if you hear the creative t3, compare side by side t3 sounds better. listen to m10 also sounds good
