wats the different btween infantry recce and armour recce? do they learn the same thing??
how bout guards?? which one more xiong?? recce? guards?
Get to learn a lot lor. I was infantry recce spec but my NS was 10 yeaes ago so not sure if still relevant. I went on jeep course (military class 3 basically), artillery call for fire course, some other specs went for air photo reading course with RSAF, basic medical course, combat survival course, supposed to go for weapons (GPMG) course, and of course scout commander and scout trooper courses.
I liked the independence but it's tough sometimes.
slightly different only. eg, for armour, you need to survey the area if tanks are able to pass thru. guards need to see if there is an area for them to be inserted, via coastal hook or heli.
Hi there. Am a recce spec from an armour unit. Got the interview too when i was in BSLC. Trust mi that recce is actually quite a fun, challenging and rewarding vocation to be in. I personally am quite honoured to be a recce spec. Basically, the role of an armoured recce is to conduct reconnisance on enemy territory depicted by ur higher ups. Being in an armour unit means that u have the luxury of vehicles at ur disposal, namely bikes and Afv's. Chances of getting in after the interview shld be quite high if u have expressed interest or displayed potential. But of course, its up to the interviewer to select you. Hope you have benefited from this. Cheers!
