Spell check language diff from settings?

My region is set as Spore & i chose UK english. But when i type in the default email app, the spellchecker still uses US english & tells me patronise is wrong & should be patronize. Anyone know how to fix this?

Have you tried using both UK English as an iPhone language and keyboard?
