Split Policy

Why my agent discourage me from splitting my policy eg. Instead of taking up a 6k annual premium policy, I prefer 2 policies of $3k pa. I prefer two in case some day cash flow got problem.

Actually splitting is better for them, as this increase their case count with the same commission received.

I wonder why as well

I would say same. Unless the plan got discount for higher premium or sum insured then yes splitting dont make sense.
