I don't think is a sinkie thing (though our school system really train such things). The problems you listed arent exclusive to SG

Meeting in company is really see the skill of the people and the meeting org/chair; if they can cover the points and keep the meeting moving then good, if not the meeting will crash fast

this is very true... in meeting they will not ask questions or give comments... after the meeting they will dm or privately call me give comments... i will like ... especially if the meeting wasn't chaired by me.. they give me their comments for what???
