Read through a 2012 thread on the same topic but decided not to bump that up.

I'm looking to get a squat rack for my room and I'm considering this

I don't have enough clearance for a full power rack and I would like to have the spotter bars. This is looking like the ideal rack for me.

Has anyone used this? If I get it i'll be using it for squats, ohp and bench press.

My existing barbell is about 1.65m long.

Also, does anyone have recommendations for a sturdy bench?

I'm also planning to keep it outside (exposed to the rain). Probably going to use a tarp to keep it dry?

Are you looking to buy barbell weight plates?

I've got 2x20kg plates, both are rubberized, 45cm diameter, like IWF plates. Still quite new, and need to sell in a hurry. I've listed the price as 240, but willing to negotiate.

deadlifts might be an issue for hdb. especially if you're thinking of dropping 140kg plates instead of lowering them gently.

anyway dude, i'd recommend getting a flat bench if you don't plan on doing any inclined presses. I got most of my stuff from homegym. I think a sturdy bench costs about $250-300.

jokerk thanks for the input. I was actually planning to get an adjustable bench even though I hardly do inclined bp. A flat bench makes more sense. You read my mind.

Do you keep your equipment outdoors?

i suppose you stay in a landed property?

I keep it indoors but train outdoors if i'm practising my olympic lifts.

There are some barbells which "rusts" easily due to humidity, but i suppose there are ways to take care of it.

My only concern of putting my equipment outside is that it will kena "kope" if it is too out in the open. I suppose it is alright if you find a way to secure it.
