SSD and HDD advise needed

Hello, would like to know how do you guys work around installing programs into the HDD instead some programs auto installing into the SSD which is my windows drive.

Is there any way to enable my SSD to be a purely Windows drive and all the files will be automatically stored in the HDD? or do I need to change drive location manually every time?

It defeat the purpose of having SSD for OS & applications when you choose to install into mechanical hard disk. Of course, you can manually select the path to which drive for your installation.

Just imagine spending $500 or more for a 1TB storage SSD? How many will do that?

I suggest install windows plus all your small programs in the SSD, then larger programs (e.g. Photoshop, games, etc) install in your HDD.

It is better for storage SSD to be a separate drive. Your data in secondary storage drive is not affected in the event OS SSD corrupted or kaput.

What difference would that make? Just buy a big crucial mx100.

Nobody will know but you whether 128gb enough or not. Check your current hdd usage.
