SSD data corruption after BSOD

Yesterday i suffered a BSOD on my PC and that resulted in a massive data corruption episode on the Sabrent nvme SSD..

i could no longer boot into windows and chkdsk in recovery environment could not be completed after a myriad of errors on the drive. what a horrible fallout.

The Sabrent Rocket does not have E2E data protection.

Adata SX8200 Pro does. One of the things I checked when buying SSD.

also, you need to have the capacitors built-in on the SSD for data protection to work

the ssd is wonky. writing large amount of data into it will result the disk to stop responding or disconnect. bsod or error will then occur. i use bootable utilities to secure erase/sanitise the disk, but that dont seem to be helping. got lotsa issues trying to get windows to complete installation.

after multiple tries, i got windows to complete but the upgrade to build 1903 was again ridden with problems. but diskinfo shows 100% disk health with no apparent red flags. i dunno what's the issue.

i tried a surface scan on the disk.. i let it ran for maybe 3 mins.. the red squares more than the green squares... but reallocated blocks in smart is 0.. bought from amazon.. will try and see if can rma.. only 4mths old. zz.

Damn... will hooking up a UPS to my desktop somewhat serve as a power loss protection for the ssd though?
