check your bios is using AHCI or IDE mode... m4's garbage collection mechanism is not the best, so it requires TRIM... see this if the mode is IDE: Error message occurs after you change the SATA mode of the boot drive

alternatively, you could try letting your comp idle overnight so that the garbage collection have the chance to run...

last night tried letting my comp idle overnight but today when opening up words or excel documents still very slow :(

tried to do disk cleanup and update to latest firmware but still no use

Hi, what ssd that you are using right now? For this case you need to use the disk defragmenter to defrag your sdd otherwise you should format your computer. This is what i suggest for you.

Please try it! :)

Then what you suggest for him to make his ssd more faster? :)
obviously, the best way is to reformat + secure erase + reinstall, but that might be a little troublesome... if that is not possible, can try to look elsewhere for the source of the problem, eg. firmware, etc....

if only excel & word files are slow to open, its not ssd but some office addon or update...
