Months ago, I bought a Crucial MX500 (1TB) for 70-plus from ShopeeMall official store but now even on flash sale, same store selling it at over 100 bucks

Shipped from USA, no local distro warranty. But crucial has one of the easiest if nt the easiest RMA proess.

It is not SSD price going up, it is just this form factor being deprecated for so long that the price are all old and dwilding stockpile.

I think is due to supply and demand, there's a period Samsung SSD.
For example Samsung 1TB SSD SATA and NVME drives except 980 pro.
Going as low as $90 but now shot back to $12X.

I don't know why but lucky I was able to get 2 Samsung 970 EVO Plus during
that period from Challenger around $9X.
That's right Amazon maybe cheap but local price SSD not bad also.

For local set at least you got warranty.

nope, regular nvmes went up in price a month ago too. saw local sn770 go from $6X for 1tb $10X now, most other nvmes also had similar %age changes.

Ship back maybe $10-15? Local also may need wait anyway. And still take leave go collect. Crucial usa send back via express service at their costs.

And local price vs amazon price is quite big, worth the hassle to send back.
