Hello,

I would like to find out about the difference between these three. I know HDD is not really recommended because of the power consumption right? What about SSD VS SSHD? Any expert out there who can help me?

the hybrid doesn't work

it is suppose to "learn" which are the frequently used files and keep it on the flash memory , but I see amazon user review the users say it doesn't do jack sht, the $20-30 USD premium for no effect and more complicated parts to fail

Given the general drop in prices for HDD and SSD... Make things easier for yourself, just consider between HDD and SSD bah

Always consider SSD + HDD, for best of both worlds. ;)

SSD to store OS, games, programs' installations for best loading times and system responsiveness. HDD to store personal files for long term archival where they are not frequently accessed.

on a side note, WD Black2 Dual Drive consider a hybrid drive or a 2in1 drive?
of course for that price, i rather go for a SSD + HDD separately but unless you using for laptop and only had 1 slot.

That one is a 2 in 1, they made it such that data gets stored on SSD first then its HDD.

I would only recommend that u get a SSHD if you are constraint by hard drive bay, i.e. in a laptop, and you need the storage space.
Performance wise, it is nowhere near an SSD. It only speeds things up as much as they can squeeze into the 8GB of Nand.
