Both speed test at a mall food court during peak, no difference in speed. Another test was conducted outdoors at Orchard Rd, 5G SA network, the Priority one only gets 50+ MBPS faster

its not so much about speed. Priority is suppose to prioritise your data connection during peak or crowded area. At non crowded area there shouldn't be much differences.

No real issues here in the west using SingTel S$15.28 SIM Only plans. I get 5G SA in most cases and only fall back to 4G in some lifts for my usual routine.

I tested quite some different plans (all <=S$15.28) across different networks, the SingTel S$15.28 plan is still the best for local usages based on my own testing.

But I use public bus for daily commute to work and I am not taking trains during peak hours normally. So my use case may not be the same. YMMV.

Occasionally when I take MRT during peak hours, I have no issues with EWL underground MRT stations. NSL underground MRT Stations are not good though (my backup line Starhub Prepaid S 5G legacy plan is a bit better for NSL).

It is good to have two lines nowadays if you want to have good coverages, say, one on Singtel network, the other one on Starhub or M1 network. Take note Starhub and M1 share 5G network infrastructure (at least the 5G Radio Access Network). Starhub has better 4G coverage but Starhub 4G network is more congested. M1 4G network coverage is not that good but less congested.

I have no real issues with 5G SA and EWL underground stations using my Singtel S$15.28 plan. NSL is not so good though but I use Starhub Prepaid S plan as the backup which is a bit better for NSL underground MRT stations.

With the above combinations, I do not see much issues, except some lifts.

Singtel 5G SA also no use on DTL during peak hours.. i had to switch my $15.28 to 4G and it was usable again.

My take why some users get better results with 4G connections using SingTel network.

Interesting that 4G can help in this case.

Looks like this is more of a congestion problem than coverage problem then. There are limited capacity (limited number of base stations) for underground MRT stations for all the 5G/4G networks.

More Singtel MNO/MVNO users are using 5G SA now so 5G may have more issues (no more 5G NSA). Switching to 4G may help as less users are using the 4G network. If more users are switching to 4G, then 4G will have problems.

Switching to Starhub/M1 5G network may help in some cases.

BTW, there are past reports of DTL and NEL issues as well, along with EWL/NSL. It seems to me there are less issues for Circle Line.

My personal experience is different, M1 Maxx 5G and Starhub Prepaid S 5G are better than SingTel 4G. Then SingTel 5G network is still the overall best for my local usage.
