My tf10 probably got very small resale value leh. Either way I'm still planning my upgrade, so asking about this since its still fairly unknown. Sekali it's a gem just waiting to be polished

hm...

you sell your drivers for reshell i think will have people buy. :) I've seen some wts threads where people just sell the drivers and people do buy them. I myself considered them for a while actually haha

What do you mean gem waiting to be polished? You mean your reshelled tf10 can be better or you mean stage6 can be better? :)

Oh. Thanks for the info! I mean what if its( the stage6) very good just that it lacks exposure to the masses of the audiophile market that's why no one really notices it. Maybe thats a bad way to describe it ah

Actually I noticd it quite some time ago. I think the reason is cause it's still too pricey for Singaporeans even though its local. Like rooth has cheaper options for those who are just starting out with ciems and don't wish to spend too much. And for those who are willing to spend more they usually wait for stereo's UM promotion or go for other well known brands like heir audio

Whether enough people know about it I'm not sure but when I showed my friend the site the reshell his tf10, he told me that he'll just go for rooth since its cheaper.

Oh and I feel the customizations on stage93 also not very extensive haha. Not bashing on a local brand, but could be better. I guess for a very neutral sound for a stage monitor you might want to get it instead :)

Really? I didnt go with Null-rooth because i heard the turn over was insanely long, and the impressions were almost dust-bin worthy. And stereo told me to prepare 700 if i wanted to reshell and add drivers, while stage93 told me a value closer to 650. Treoo also didnt have impressions service back then, although im still abit skeptical about it. There was another choice that was cheaper, although i'd prefer not to talk about it to prevent complications.. I agree that they are relatively unknown for the price they are asking. Unless they decide to give a review unit to someone to review, someone has to bite the pricey bullet ( I hope its not me :( )

That will cost me a bomb. Like another 500-600. I'd rather i just top-up more for full customs rather than keep spending more. I feel Reshell services boost the resale value of full-customs while decreasing the value of reshelled universals because why would anyone want to buy a used + drivers than get a fresh universal and + their own to get a brand new set.

Plus the latter will probably cost less than the former, in the case of something like the TF10 or if you purchase online from ES etc

go to the rooth elpis thread. Alot of us has done our impressions there. It's good enough already. there's even a null audio impression service review in this forum. It's was very good and I've personally met the guy who wrote the review.

I feel that it's kinda sad for them because in this market, people usually save up and go for the very best or they just get the entry level to start out with. Hence you see alot of people aiming UM or Heir Audio.

I mean, there are some who would go for mid range products too, and this thread is a testament to that.

I'm not discouraging you from buying from stage93, nor am I asking you to buy from other CIEM vendors. Just trying to help you make a more informed decision :)

Either ways, if you see that you don't need too much customization on your CIEM and want to get something else other than rooth, you can go for this :)

Yeah since you will be spending so much on reshelling, might as well top up for a true ciem.

The thing is would you be tempted to upgrade to better ciems next time? If so, might as well save up to get that instead, since resale value of ciems are so low and you are selling it off anyway.

Think can also consider the 1964 ears v6 or cosmic ears

I'm not saying that i would want to sell it in the future, but should I have the need to sell be it fianacial or Upgrading cirumstances, then i do have the choice to do so. I've been looking at 1964 v6 for awhile now, together with the DreamEarz Aud-6x. The cosmic ears BA6 have yet to be released.
