Wah, sianz. Thought they have some promise, project86 at head-fi reckons their cables are on par with the equivalent Toxic..

Seems like Stage 93 never really caught on here despite being a local company?

there are 3 local companies... namely Null audio, G-customs, Stage 93...

All are china labs... so i wouldn't say is local company but rather local rebranding and I would term them as middleman for reshell and customs. Maybe cables they might be local developers...

I did the cheapest option with G-customs at $150, color was wrong due to translation and fit was off due to my impressions made, when ask if can remake with a pair of new impressions they want to charge me full reshell price and wait for next batch....

I went for solo reshell with Stage 93, paid for shipping, got a good before service, after impressions sent then no news msg no reply email slow reply, exceed the agreed duration of 6 weeks for solo reshell, end up waited for 9 weeks... luckily it came back with a good fit and finish was great...

Quite sad I feel. Cause the prices not really very "tempting" despite being a local brand. Plus their customization options quite limited. Honestly I don't mind going for them if I got another iem to reshell. Seems that only their clear models look Jin swee lol. But other than that, I wasn't particularly impressed. Heard someone went for their over freeze retermination service but even then that failed badly also

I don't know, I kinda feel sorry for them but at the same time I don't lol

Group reshell not bad though, $180 per person excluding impressions and shipping

look at my reply above...

Heheh maybe lor ^_^. Or maybe I should demo the trio first :/

Why don't you jump the gun/bite the bait/ leap of faith/ go all in/ try without regretting/ meaningless cliche idiom and buy the trio and then post a review here for all of us? :)

Of the three mentioned, which do you think is the consumer's choice to go to for a budget reshell?

At one point I was tempted to buy their silver cable. Good reviews on head fi and looks good too. But somehow, don't know why, finger on the trigger but just cannot pull lol :(

I also thought their cable looks very good and has excellent reviews to boot, may hoot once my fraying silver dragon cable dies on me the second time.

Just don't go for the determination. Or maybe its an isolated case

if it is strictly budget and time doesn't matter to you, then go for null audio since it comes with free impressions...

Any reason chiu narrow to these 2 brands?

Because I read the review for V3 on head-fi looks like the upgrade I want. At the same time stage93 trio around same price... So ya. I cannot find any more customs with 3 drivers for they price already leh

why dont want Rooth LS3??

After factoring all the misc cost, might be around same price or maybe even lower than the stage93 trios. And even better, got demo set for you to try in store some more.

Why don't you go and read the description of the trios and the 1964v3 and the read the reviews of 1964v3 and whatever stage93 reviews you can find and see how closely the reviews are matched to the descriptions. Then at least you got a way of seeing how good the descriptions are then can make a decision from there.

Seems like you're already leaning towards 1964v3. If you're still in doubt, can do what I suggested above. If you got a strong inkling towards, 1964v3, I would pull the trigger liao, dont wait. Made in USA, more popular brand, and even has videos on their labs!

btw the guy talking in the video is the owner of 1964 ears.

Heheh WAH then in that case I go for 1964 lor ^_^ thanks guys!

Ya no problem.

To be honest, I kinda want to support stage93 cause I mean, support local. But then, really can't be helped if price not competitive, quality and accessories also not attractive. Kinda like creative also
