Would like to check with experts on what are the Standalone CI plans with cash values (aka participating funds).

Note that I'm not asking for:
1) Whole life plan with CI riders
2) Unsolicited advice by the usual culprits on his one-and-only-best methods of doing things (aka buy term, buy disability insurance, buy aka, and then invest the rest).

Thanks for any help. Agents welcome to post your plans here BUT no PMs please.

I recently bought GE's Supreme Multiplier 4x, which is life insurance that also acts as eci and ci plan. The eci/ci is not a rider - if the insured sum is claimed for eci/ci the life insurance also terminates. The good thing about this plan is that this forum's recommended GE disability income can be added as a rider and is around 20% cheaper than if bought as standalone.

While this forum doesn't recommend life and ci insurance, I bought the minimum sum to claim that I have life insurance and ci insurance for personal reasons. :s22:

I am not expert on this but am recently looking for CI coverage. There is AIA Power Critical Cover (Life Plan) with cash value after certain years. But it is not something I will buy for myself.

Perhaps I can share the plan I decided to buy instead of AIA Power Critical Cover. I am planning to purchase AIA Guaranteed Protect Plus, which is a life plan with ECI rider. You can choose a multiplier of 2x or 4x up to age 65 or 75.

The difference I can tell is the former is a multi-pay plan while the latter terminates after one claim (unless you are insured more than $350K). The premiums are cheaper so I opted for the single claim with cash value option.

If is wholelife , why aia? Where are better amd cheaper option?

Thanks for sharing! Indeed, multipay is not attractive. If you can get one payout at 300k, why would it be better to get 200k instead and let the policy run?
