can milk, just milk... globally rates will be dropping soon.
on the same boat with you. esaver promo usually posted on the last day of the previous promo?

How closely linked is the public rate with the special by invitation rate? It was posted that the special rate from Apr to Jul is 3.5%. So public rate would be much much lower?

But you can get 3.5%+1% easily for April right? Unless you already have funds in HSBC in March
Yes, 3.5% + 1% is possible. Not 3.6% + 1% for the Apr24 BI promo given the requirement of $500k incremental ADB.

I'm locking in the Mar24 BI 3.6% using my alternate account to use for Apr24, so it's 0.1% more (without requiring $500k ADB) and slightly earlier fulfilment.

P.S. oops forgot this is SCB eSaver thread so will stop discussing HSBC EGA here.

Anyone can share how StandChart Esaver’s April interest is like? I have put in HSBC EGA for 2 months already so need to transfer to another account for better interest.

Preparing to transfer funds into eSaver when the new rates come out for next month. Is it OK to transfer from another SCB account into the eSaver or needs to be from another bank? Anyone here has been doing it and can confirm for me please?
yes, but do it at own risk :o

I’m trying to understand how esaver works. The SC website mentioned this term “incremental balance” but I don’t really understand. Let’s say I open a new esaver account from 1st May and transfers 50k into the account. What do I need to do earn that 3.6% pa interest which will be paid out monthly? Do I need to deposit more money into the account every month such that the balance at end of month is greater than the balance at end of the previous month?

I joined the promotion from Feb to Mar 2024. The incremental fresh funds is compared to the average daily balance in Jan 2024.

So if the average daily balance in Jan 2024 is zero and you top up 50K in Feb then the 50k earns 3.6% interest in Feb and Mar 2024. Hope this explains.
