Why is it only for those less than 200k ?

I tried transferring 25k to Esavers today and applying for the FD, it kept indicating this error :

SORRY

i am under priority banking and currently my esaver is under the invitation exclusive bonus from 01 Aug to 31 Oct 2026 at 1.6%. so now the the public time deposit offering 1.8% for PB client which is even better than my esaver 1.6% lol
Does the relevant TnC related to your promo period have a clause to say that it would match the higher public rate should it happen? You may wish to check it.

Aug 2026 exclusive invite no such statement. They inserted this into the Sep exclusive invite.

RM says need to be priority private customers. These have AUM of $1.5 m. RM say some use leverage on investments or insurance to qualify. Those who have investments under CDP can transfer to Standard Chartered and these will qualify. Transfer fee charged by Standard Chartered Bank is $10.90 per counter.
Wonder how many can qualify with AUM of $1.5M?

you asked your RM how to get an Exclusive Bonus Interest Invite or specifically the 1.95% Exclusive Bonus Interest Invite?? There are 3 versions of the exclusive invite - version A 1.45% BI, version B 1.75% BI, version C 1.95%

why not? the S$1.5 million belongs to their liquid assets. Rest of the assets are in various types of investments like equities, bonds, AI investments etc. 1.95% of $1,500,000 get you $2,437 a month.

There are many corporate high flyers who are busy travelling and no time for muscial chairs or hunt around every month for incremental 0.1% Bank A vs Bank B. They are quite loyal to a particular bank and have their funds there and it is true that these people invest with their priorty bankers. The $2437/mth is just the appettizer. The main course is their monthly salary.

If 1.5m includes investments, the investments will not earn 2% interest. Only for the cash component.

my PB 200k tier RM told me he "helped to add me in to the list" previously.

maybe those interested can try walk into branch and ask to see a random RM and if they interested to help, can on-the-spot apply to switch to the new RM
