think better to consolidate all into 1 account or at least ensure 200k in each acct.

my friend has 1 acct with only 100k and i think it got a lower interest than the other esaver accts with >200k

I have 1 esaver acct only :s13:

is the fall below fee per month based on ADB?

I forgot about the fall below amount and transferred everything become $0, then in the 3rd week I realized it. and transferred 2k back instead of 1k, so that the ADB for the month would be 1k. But they still deduct me $5... is my maths wrong ? can email them to waive ?

Which date did u do the transfer?
If it falls on a sat/sun, the adb will only calculate the transferred amount on Mon, I was told by other bank when I was deducted the fall below fee.

but it doesn't matter when I do the transfer as long as its not on the last day right ? I didn't count it to be exact (I mean even if I do it on the last day, it should still be correct. just that the last day might have a risk of different days, dates falling on sat/sun like you said)

because I transfer 2k, so the avg should be more than 1k as long as I didn't do it on the last day/week

can i reverify to my understanding?

if on a sun nite, i transfer

- in an amt, it gets posted on mon, and the value date is on mon, and interest given is only starting on mon.

- out an amt, it gets posted on mon, and the value date is on mon, but sum gets immediately deducted on sun, interest reduced on sun, and ADB falls accordingly.

my experience is with ocbc. my ADB is sharply 3k and everything is properly calculated, but i still got slap 2 dollars fall below fee. so my guess, despite of the bank putting value date on mon, they only used for incoming funds but do otherwise for outgoing funds. is this a widely acceptable practice?

Hi all,

I heard there are some folks here possessed of 2 e$aver accounts and alternate the account to continue to earn the interest on incremental amount.

Anyone can share more details? Thanks

Does transfer from joint account to single account count as fresh funds?

No. So far most account exclude same bank transfer except for ocbc 360. Need to out then in. The 30 day rule does cause confusion but so far dun see an issue.

Does the 30 days rule apply to withdrawal from "A" esaver account to 3rd party bank and immediately deposit to "AB" (joint) esaver account?

So to be able to get continuous fresh funds in SCB, the steps are to

1)Set up and save on individual account first (fresh fund assuming no prior savings in SCB)
2) After the promotion period for the individual account, withdraw the funds from the individual account and FAST out to another bank, then FAST back in to the joint account. (fresh fund as if the funds is from another bank, need to set up joint account if not yet set up)
3) After the promotion period for the joint account, withdraw the funds from the individual account and FAST out to another bank, then FAST back in to the individual account ((fresh fund as if the funds is from another bank).
4) repeat steps 2 and 3.

Please correct me if I am wrong
