How do you guys use this account? Transfer $ into this account for 2 months to enjoy the bonus promotional interest rate for 2 months, then transfer out to another account, rinse and repeat? The interest rate of 1.1% for 50-200K, while not fantastic, still beats other accounts by a little bit.

yup need 2 esaver acct., xfer from acct1 to to another bank then to acct 2.

for those with big amount can use DBS branch machine ATM withdrawal up to $200K daily limit per day.

assuming u xfer to dbs

It was higher in the past but has been dropping for the past few "promotions". It may get worse...

yes 1 person with 2 accts.

fund transfer i not sure, but can withdraw large amount then deposit back into scb acct.

there is risk if withdraw too large sum.

Yes, it was (is?) possible for have 2 esaver individual accounts and 1 joint esaver account.

Trasfer via internet banking with the FAST transfer.

I don't think it is due to lack of awareness that pp chose esaver, but rather it is an extra option when people are using their cc/payroll for similar plan(s) in other banks.

it's very different. this esaver is just a no-frills high(er than other bank) interest online savings account. no need to worry about card spends, GIRO, salary, etc.

bonu$saver is if you can meet the various tiers and then the interest % will up accordingly.

it does work. but some ppl will tell u not to take the risk, only takes 5 more mins to transfer into another 3rd party bank account and then back into the 2nd esaver account

Alamak, small issue la. Which bank don't have cockups before? I didn't even know they deducted $10 accidentally until they sent SMS to inform me it happened.

The main issue is the terrible new interest rate, 1.10% only. I took all my money out and split into other banks liao, not worth the time to to keep inside for extra 0.1%.
