Hi everyone, i have this esavers account opened many years ago that i use once every 2- 3 months to get the incremental bonus interest, the rest of the months i left it at ZERO....

i was expecting it to charge me the fall below fee of $5 when i have funded it, but surprisingly every time, it did not charge me.... will they give me a heart attack bill when/IF i attempt to close my account later?

anyone encounter this before?

Can. But I usually leave $1 there. SCB will close the account after some months of zero balance.

I have not encountered SCB auto closing accounts beofre, I had my esaver at $0 for almost a year before I requested for it to be closed myself.

What happens if my e$aver account has S$0 balance?

If your e$aver account has S$0 balance for 30 days, then your account will automatically be closed.

This is stated in their FAQ.

Yes it is stated, but not actually implemented. I even had 2 $0 esaver accounts at one time before. Both just sat there for months at $0 till I called the bank to close them.

Maybank giving 1.35% from 1 Sep. For deposit in Dec the rate goes to 1.5%.

Trying to find out more on isavvy account and this 1.5% rate

So if I open and deposit 200k into isavvy today. I will earn the interest 1.35% Sep to nov and 1.5% dec?

The illustration is not clear. It appears if you deposit now and leave it to end of promotion period, you may not get 1.5% for Dec as it stated "Fresh Funds Deposit during Dec" :s22:
