it is only high interest for the first two months. after that it is quite low unless you play the transfer game.

I think he's referring to the special promotion where they can keep for one whole year instead of just two months. only for specially invited customers...

i just came back from ICBC and chance upon this 12 month step up fd. it is worth considering..

Effective interest rates of up to 1.8% interest p.a. for 12 months step-up fixed deposit

Interest rates increase every 3 months giving higher returns

Minimum deposit of SGD5,000 for 12 months step-up fixed deposit

no penalty in early withdrawal. only that u forfeit the interest. u can open many stacs of 5k if u are afraid u may need to withdraw any down the road, so as not to rock the boat 😁

they have another promo where u set up paynow with them and do a transfer of any amt into your saving acc with them, whatever savings u have in their saving acc is entitled to 1.5%pa up to end September. will revisit standchart or maybank after September.

Wow. Wonder if it is on their website.

i was there to place a few $5k step up fd which i mention earlier ave out 1.8% pa. then i saw they have a cardboard stand promoting this paynow + 1.5% til end September. the cs told me i need to open paynow with icbc. then transfer any amt via paynow to my icbc savings acc. so i transfered $15. after that i can start fast transfer any amt any time in. no matter wat amount I'll b entitled 1.5%pa all the way till end sep

1st of month I'll get the 0.25% standard interest. 15th of month I'll get 1.5% bonus interest because of the paynow promo I'm entitled to that.
