For example, your average daily balance in July 2018 was $1k. This is fixed now. You put in $10k. The incremental balance over the ADB in July 2018 is $10k, so you get the bonus interest on the $10k on top of the regular interest on $11k. Interest is calculated daily and credited at the end of the month.

Then suppose you withdraw the $10k, which you can do anytime. Now your balance is $1k and the incremental balance is $0. You still get the regular interest on $1k but no bonus interest.

To earn the bonus interest, the daily balance during the promotion period must be higher than the average daily balance in the month preceding the promotion period. For example,

Jun's daily average balance is 1,500.

Promotion period - Jul to Aug

During promotion period, daily balance may go up and down.

Daily balance less 1,500 will earn bonus interest while 1,500 will earn base interest.

For those days, when balance fall below 1,500 base rate applies.

Note - interest is calculated on daily balance and credited at end of month.

hmm, I thought the base interest is calculated based on daily balance, but the bonus interest is based on the month's average daily balance (for that month against that of June) and calculated only at the end of the month?

so for that example, even if there are days that the daily balance drops below $1,500, u still earn bonus interest as long as it increases again such that the average daily balance is more than $1,500.

ADB is the sum of end-of-day account balances of all days in a particular calendar month, divided by the number of days in that month, where “end-of-day account balances” means account balances as of 2359 hours of each day

I think it’s time for me to transfer my funds from CIMB to SC from now till end sept.

i tranferred funds in liao then the system cannot transfer out... if got such problems, why still accept funds in, in first place , they shd just shut down for maintenance and deny receiving funds...
