Yes. You do
until they decide to probe deeper and examine your actions vs the TnC (which you have agreed to by opening the account btw)

In the meantime, you might not want to shout loud loud about what you are doing

I heard SC offering some selected customers 1.6% for 12 months in eSaver so you dont have to move your fund every 2 months.

If you have 2 esaver accounts, does transferring out from one (to e.g. DBS) and then to the 2nd esaver account qualify as fresh funds?

if using one eSaver account, need to take most of funds out for 1 month so that you ADB is reset close to zero for that month and then deposit back next month.

Received the targeted mailer today, seems like a pretty decent promotion. The bonus interest rate is 1.35% and prevailing interest rate up to 0.25% depending on tier.

Just have a doubt, does the bonus interest rate of 1.35% applies to incremental fresh funds only or the entire ADB? Thanks.

I received the mailer also.. need 100k. Not very attractive for me
Based on my interpretation of the TNC, I think just need to have $100k balance at the end of 31 August. After 31 August, can withdraw out and still can enjoy 1.35% bonus interest on the ADB + prevailing interest on the end of day balance for the next 12 months. Please correct me if I am wrong.

My mailer doesnt say anything about 100k. My mailer's promo period is 1 Aug to 30 Sep.

believe there might be 2 mailers these ppl are talking about.

one is the normal eSaver acc which everyone qualifies for. They will send a mailer with the new rates every 2 months as long as you have a eSaver acc.

Then some ppl seems to have gotten SMS/mailers inviting them for another type of eSaver promotion, which you don't have to "shift" funds every 2 months (not based on incremental balances every 2 months) and can just leave the money inside for an extended period of time. this is the one that requires a min amount of $ like 100k

SCB_-_exclusive_promo_from_Jun_to_Jul_2019.jpg

My mailer doesnt say anything about 100k. My mailer's promo period is 1 Aug to 30 Sep.

The promo from 1 Aug to Sep is based on amount above ADB of preceding month.

Based on above mailer, there is a promo 1 Jul 2018 to 30 Jul 2019 which requires a minimum balance of 100k as of 31 Jul 2018.

It appears that the rates mentioned in the letter apply for the entire 12 months period, but if there is a higher bonus rate in subsequent promo, then the higher rate apply. Savers assured of the min rates during the 12 months :s13:

As such there is no need to switch banks every 2 months.

i thought the mailer is for 1.6%? why only 1.45%? :s22:

the 1.6% is for fresh funds one every 2 months.

to them, the trick of shifting ur funds every 2 months to make it "fresh" doesnt exist. Since the 1.45% doesnt require you to get fresh new funds every 2 months, it is a better deal (to them).

Yeah... two different mailers.

The 2nd one is for a full year.
