SCB running on fumes already. Even the dormant Priority customers also wanna cut? Not as if there's much additional cost to maintaining them.

the only benefit of scb priority is the priority pass and lounge access, i intend to liquidate all my shares with SCB and route ito DBS since the commission is lower at 0.12% vs 0.18%

Then drop out of priority, maybe next time can rejoin and get signup bonus

SCB priority has no perks nowadays

Huh. Didn't know priority have priority pass for lounge access. Not important now anyway.

They upgraded me to priority because my esaver had 200k a few years ago. I did not apply. So if they remove I am not concern.

Std Chart priority not as good as HSBC premier anyway when it comes to queue for counter service (change new notes).

For DBS Vickers, besides the 0.12%, advantage is the Shares are held at CDP and not custodian. I have always insisted on CDP. There is a difference when it comes to voting.

If I have a trust trading account worth only 100sgd worth of shares, is it worthwhile to keep the min 1k esaver account balance, I thinking of closing this cecaesaver account as I maintain it mainly because of trading, but I have since migrated my trading to fsmone and only left with that 100sgd German shares
How my case, any tip?

u need apply VI card under SCB priority, they will give u 24 times access per year with 1+1 guest. Brokerage fee 0.18%, thats about all.

For DBST i using their iweath platform, lower comm 0.12% but held in custodian. Then stocks also qualify as part of the $200K AUM and best is buying shares via dbs help u get preferential interest in dbs multiplier account 2.8% for $50K. I dont really mind if custodian count as single vote, with or wo my vote wont make any difference :s13:

To me the priority/premier etc is more like making you "feel" privileged rather than any real benefit. :) I prefer keeping 200k with IBKR, instead of any of the banks. IBKR gives nice margin loan at very low rates , which I am not using right now, but if opportunities present itself, I can grab it. To me this privilege is more valuable than any lounge access.

Standard Chartered priority not really premier. The staff at Queue ticket counter and bank teller don't bother to smile at you (Tampines branch).

HSBC has better service

Just empty your esaver acct if u dont want to pay the fall-below fee. No need close acct.

If my present barely 1k balance esaver account is topped up with fresh funds of 200k via fast, within 3 months, I get extra 800sgd credit and status changed to priority customer? And terms on avoid forterture of that 800sgd? Andwhay is the deposit interest rate for that 200k?

DBST started charging you 0.20% p.a. custodian fees for foreign stocks isn't it?

Int rate for that $200k should be 0.3% pa. The other enquiries better chk with scb.

overseas shares have custodian, but i own sgx stocks only. i kept DBST purely because of the dbs multiplier account and 0.12% brokerage, since got free treasures just take but no real benefits like Priority pass...at most go lounge get free drinks. The welcome gift is not bad when i signed up 6 mth ago it was $1400 plus 5 free trades no commission

Timely reminder that stanchart may follow suit soon to charge custody fees for its priority customers

Any source for this? I think a lot of people will be pissed if SCB starts charging custody fees. Their charges already more expensive than Saxo.

Just my gut feel to anticipate the grounds since a few others up their nette, I lately learnt of a term called account activity fee that somewhat resembles custody fee
