anyone received exclusive invite from SCB yet? Or SCB have replaced the exclusive invite with Marathon Saver permanently. There wasn't any exclusive invite for Oct 2024 too.

Thank you for sharing. Are you on an Exclusive Invitation currently? Eg I'm on Exclusive Invitation for September to November 3.4% and I don't have the invitation you have received. Thank you
I was on invite that ended Oct.

If yours end Nov you won't receive as overlap

Oh .... they drop to my email at 11.34am. Banking app no notification yet.
Whoever is managing the esaver think we are stupid.

The public rate ending Nov is 3.35%. Higher than Nov marathon and Nov invite which is 3% for Nov.

Yah. Invite will be given the higher public rate. But it has lost its purpose.

Edit : Someone posted that the clause that invite will get public rate if it is higher has been removed.

The mechanics are similar to the Marathon promo so looks like this is the way moving forward.
There is a slight difference
1. Step Up BI for both Exclusive Invite and Marathon are the same
2. $100k incremental compared to last day of reference month are the same to participate are the same
3. The difference is the calculation of BI - Marathon BI is awarded based on incremental ADB compared to reference month ADB. There is no need for incremental ADB for Exclusive Invite. So if you are invited for Nov Exclusive, there is no need to move out funds as all (compared to Oct 2024)

This clause in the old Exclusive Invite T&Cs has been removed.

5. Notwithstanding Clause 4 above, in the event that the bank offers to the Bank’s
other customers holding Eligible Account(s), a bonus interest rate higher than
Bonus Interest Rate (“Higher Bonus Interest Rate”) for any e$aver bonus interest
promotion, indicated on our website as open to all Eligible Account(s) held during
the Bonus Interest Earning Period, your Bonus Interest for that month will be
computed at such Higher Bonus Interest Rate, subject to these terms

This exclusive invite is not very appealing given that CIMB is offering 3.3% for Nov to Jan. Thinking of giving this a pass but not sure if SCB will stop inviting because didn't participate this round...

I'm deciding between CIMB and iSavvy (3.2%) - seems like iSavvy can open on same day at branch, but not sure about CIMB...

Then really no point going for invite.

Worse is if you meet the invite criteria, because no registration required, it auto enroll all your primary accounts (in my case both my single and joint accounts).

Can't even make use of the other account to get the higher public rate.

CIMB has no fall below fees and Maybank min bal is only $500. You can choose to open both since maintenance is low. You can then easily deploy your cash depending on the promo available at the point of time. Personally I have them, but I mainly merry go round between HSBC, SCB and CIMB.

I have this month to decide (parking in HSEC EGA for 3.1% + 1% for November). thereafter for December it'll be a tough call - can't load back to eSaver anymore with its lousier rate and higher entry point (must top up 100k on 30 Nov on top of balance on 31 Oct ☹️).

CIMB has only one branch left in SG (Raffles Place) whereas Maybank has many, many more locations... in the heartlands. Think it's also easier to open Maybank at branch on the spot... so don't need to wait for days to process. So am leaning towards Maybank.
