kept 1k min in my esaver but got "$5 fall below fee deducted today

called SCB - got waived but what a way to start the new year

the minimum balance is based on average daily balance. were there days when it fell below $1k?

Did you only open the account this month? Maybe the month's average included those days when you didn't have the account yet.

Not today. Interest was credited on 30 Dec.

If you set up the transfer out today, the effective day of the transfer may be tomorrow since today is a Sunday. Test at your own risk

so if I FAST out of Account A on 30 Jan and then FAST back in Account A on 1 Feb, I wont be able to qualify for the bonus interest this way right ?

the cap...1.68% with no lock in is probably the best rate now for anything below $2m

because your acct A will have a high adb for jan. the bonus interest is only for incremental balances above your jan adb
