Aiya use iperf test first lah. If your internal network swee swee then check speed test see if starhub give you 1Gbps lor.

You only use speed test to check then how u know is starhub slow or your own network slow?

I find this docker tool more helpful as I can test my max WiFi/Network speed from any device.

Yeah.. they don't usually do troubleshooting for customers hence we have to find our own means to resolve.

Unless like in your previous case is ONT problem and this is quite straightforward.

So far for past decade or so my connection is good & reliable and no problem encountered.. hope to keep it this way.
Maybe mine this current ONT is new due to recontract to new flat for this contract.. expiry next month.

I am only using Starhub for TV service and use M1 for internet. I make noise just because i want to let them "wake up". I just hope M1 also have Pay TV just like Starhub. If M1 have TV, then i will terminate Starhub.

Anyone having issues with starhub ea8100 linksys router? Apps on phone randomly lags and cannot access while browsing still able to surf

I changed back to Asus router to monitor. Changing DNS server sometimes help the issue but it will occur on & off

you try set the channel to auto instead of using DFS.

That looks like a generic android tv box not sure if there are any exclusive content.

Should be generic android tv box as merely an alternatives by M1.

Nothing to do with Pay-TV &or exclusive content like Singtel/Starhub or even Starhub Go Streaming Box.

Don't think other ISP(s) will go into and follow Singtel /Starhub after seeing those Content Providers did to both Singtel/Starhub on costing &or channels changes.
And the way those subscribers response..

Yes it is generic android tv box as merely an alternatives by M1. Starhub streaming box is Pay TV and can have some generic apps too but very little. Generic app not so clear. I hope M1 will have Pay TV soon.

Starhub Go Streaming box is an alternate to Fibre TV since it do include some content channels.

But this Android TV box is new as in OEM version and so it would take some time for more features to be included.

And although it include Starhub Go App in the Streaming box but there seem to be having some limitations for now.

Starhub already focusing on this for long time since TV Anywhere and it still required more to be done to be fully standalone &or substitute to Starhub TV.

Whereas M1 may take a long time to come out with these content channels in Pay-TV service.

impossible. they don't have much broadcast rights to start with.

it will take time for them to fight against starhub and sinktel :s13:

Like that mean every time run speedtest need to perform all these in order to get a better result.

Fine then i have another laptop fresh installed Windows 10 without any other software or addon.
Result via Edge: > http://starhub-broadband.speedtestcustom.com/result/3a781310-0067-11e9-9ee6-2f04d359a086
Download result is good while upload is not..

For those who are with starhub on 1gbps having their download speed less than 500mbps I shared the same experience but problem seem to be solved now.

1. Connect yr lan line directly from ONT box to yr pc to test the speed
2. Make sure no other applications are running except your browser, anti
virus software is fine.
3. Only use Edge browser and starhub broadband speedtest to test
4. Speedtest reading should be 7 to 800+ under download speed which
means good
5. Connect back yr lan line to linksys router directly to pc test the speedtest
again
6. Should yr speed show less than 500mbps, the problem should be lies with
linksys router setting--for my case is turn off yr Device
Prioritization

7. Once turned off, test yr speed on Edge browser again you should get back
very good speed

If the above doesn't help you if the direct connection speed from ONT to pc is good.

1. Call Linksys 24 hotline 8001204280 toll-free standby your Linksys router model
and serial
2. Linksys will access your pc through remote with your permission, they will
use Ookla Speedtest, make sure you refer them to use speedtest
provided by starhub cos I find both speedtest parties have different
results
3. Should you be making the appt with starhub technican, inform them to bring
in window laptop, if I'm not wrong starhub issue them with mac laptop
instead and mac laptop will give you a very good result on speedtest I think
is because of different OS

Speedtest perform under Edge and other browsers eg Chrome gives you different result so use Edge browser as default and make sure close all other software that are running eg whatsapp, line etc applications

I'm using window 10, I'm just sharing my experience with you guys that's all.

Many factors may affect the speed test result and one of them can be hardware issue like ONT spoilt, notebook computer issue, cable issue, router. Other issue can be OS issue or computer virus infection/ spyware etc etc etc and many other reasons. Hard to say what is wrong without a site inspection.

As long as you do regular speedtest via several computers &or browsers to monitor the average high/low result.

Also to take note on the IP which may be critical point as to ensure your measurement are conclusive accurate.
