Just an update; called up D-Link Starhub Service Center and we went through a series of configuarations but to no avail. In the end they decided to give me a replacement. Probably will pick it up this week.
There are cases on faulty routers as reported before.
They would provided the replacements.

Hi Everyone, I’ve just signed up for the homehub 1000 last evening after being on Singnet 1Gbits for the last 4yrs. May I know if Starhub’s 1000 practices any form of throttling? From what I recall a couple of years back their messaging and service differentiation for their mid to high end services is on network management.

Is StarHub 1GB fibre good for streaming tv box? Any issues?
Pass me a tv box and i do a trial to test and report... haha.

Anyway i always streaming to my android phone using apps that provide streaming.
So far the speed is good n stable.
Maybe my router wifi is fine.

But i am not sure on tv box.
That is if there is buffer to download while streaming.
This is to have lag free watching.

As for IPTV which if using wireless router &or mesh, there would be a problematic.
This (wireless connection) IPTV refer to Mio tv only.
Starhub IPTV required cable.
As i assumed both IPTV may not have buffer and so it is streaming continuously.
This could due to the fact that if midway during the show you start to watch, the show is already half gone, same as TV.
With exceptional are VOD channels.

In conclusion it is the connection being stable or not.

Have you did update the firmware on the EA7500 router during setup as stated in the Guide.

Dir 868L you meant right, not 860l..

Hmm..
Seem that there are many complain on this issue of yours.
Not sure how Starhub fixed this problem.

You can read about this in the Starhub Community Forum, also their Facebook but I don't use fb.

I signed up the HomeHub 1000 back in September officially started in October and currently using the same Linksys EA7500v2 and not having any issues experienced like you. My previous router was from VQ and that's a Netgear which works fine as well.

Deciding between M1 and Starhub 1 gbps thoughh abit hesitant on the Linksys EA7500 router. No need for Google WiFi as each room has data point. Thinking of getting a separate ASUS router - is the Starhub Linksys router ISP-locked like Singtel’s?

Happy to hear from any Starhub promoters here too.

I'm on Starhub 500M with an Asus AC68 router.

If you are not a gamer, Starhub Fibre is good enough. I suggest you go for a telco plan that is the cheapest.

My router is up for more than 1 month.

Starhub is good especially with the cease of Analogue Tv by 31 December 18. Can actually take hubbing plan and enjoy a bit of Pay Tv.

Is it top up $15 bucks for Ipad and free google wifi?

The $15.00 /month is for iPad 32GB Wifi only.
Google WiFi is a router and so payable $15.00 /month, unless you choose Linksys AC1900 is free.
Contract means installment payment in 24 months.

This is what i understand.

HomeHub 1000 on Free 6 months HomeHub 1000 plus $15/mth for iPad- Google Wifi

1. The first part is refer to this link;

http://www.starhub.com/personal/store/homehub/browse/products/free-6-months-homehub-1000-plus-15mth-for-ipad--google-wifi.html

Where on the right stated $15.00 per month for iPad 32GB Wifi.

2. The second part is
Then go downward to see What's in this Hubbing Deal.

There is another link; Learn More ...

http://www.starhub.com/personal/bundles/homehub.html

In the Plus, these
FREE Linksys AC1900+ wireless router worth $299 or top up $15/month† for Google Wifi (set of 3)
(for HomeHub 1000)

Selection is either Linksys AC1900 Or Google WiFi, not both.

As Google WiFi cost $597.00 so add $15.00 per month in order to enjoy this set of 3.

Linksys AC1900 is free.

The differences is that the cost of Google WiFi is expensive than Linksys AC1900.

Conclusion.

There is 2 options actually for iPad promotion as in the package.

One option is select Google WiFi as router with $15.00 /month payable.
Or Linksys AC1900 as router as free.

How come the $15.00 is so misleading.

IPad is based on monthly installation of $15.00 x 24 months = $360.00
The retail price around +$500.00

This is on-going promotion for iPad 32GB Wifi since Dec 2017 offer by Starhub in the mobile section.

Whereas $15.00 x 24 months for Google WiFi is already out since day-1.

Just a marketing way to display several or combined package... as to include in HomeHub beside mobile already offer since Dec 2017.
