oic... so what u mean is one should install the app on the phone first and activate within the app before putting in the sim card? :o

I received the sim card in late june and inserted the sim card without activating via the app until mid july.

My 2 giga sim never click activate on the apps (because i dunno can activate with apps). Once i insert sim and use the data, the cycle begin. Every month exact same time and date.
Maybe you can try using the apps if really want 00:00 time. For me, 1st date of the month is good enough regardless the timing.

It is more to do with data reset cycle rather than billing cycle lor. Some old phones cannot set the data reset day, so it defaults to 1st day of the month.

Yes, but u will need to be prepared to pay for the early termination of contract. Whether that is worth it or not is up to u.

No, there is a punitive multiplier to the early termination, definitely not just the monthly subscription fee. U better check your contract details. I think minimum is 2 times the subscription fee.

You can sign up and choose a later delivery date or don't activate or insert sim card immediately when you receive the card. Billing starts only when you activate.

Or you can activate when you receive to try out but don't port-in until your Starhub contract is over (this means you need to pay both sides).

Yeah this is a good way indeed, instead of paying the punitive charges for early contract termination.

Swee. Giga said will upgrade my plan from 40gb to 45gb/mth although I am existing customer. Happy hour Friday give way from 1gb for facebook/Instagram.

Think at moment giga has the best deal. Network also good.

Can someone do a speed test of giga network and post the results here? Even better if able to compare with StarHub SIM only plan.

For GOMO the speed is lower than the Singtel SIM only plan.

The nature of Internet is such that the speeds may vary with time and with location. A more superior speed at one point in time today at a particular location is not going to indicate consistent superiority. :s22:
