What should I choose as my port-in date for Giga to avoid any unnecessary payments to M1 (early contract termination or next month bill)?

You can only port out from 24 Aug to prevent one full month of termination charges.

Once you terminate your M1 line, don't pay first. You wait till Sep bill come out, which will show how much you need to pay.

Or if you're able to access MyM1 app or access M1 ID after porting out, it should automatically show you the balance payable for the month a day or two after port out is successful. Then pay that amount instead of the full month worth of subscription.

Even if have to pay first for mobile, M1 will prorate and refund but they take quite long to refund. Almost 2 mths for me (only mobile with them)

Vivifi lite 8.80 is the cheapest I know. 3GB data 500 min talktime.

The registration fees for this plan is $38 and cannot be waived. So effectively for the first year, the plan cost $8 monthly. Savings only come in from second year.
