Has anyone managed to resolve Starhub Global SMS charges due to iMessage / Facetime?
I wrote to Starhub Community and below is what they have replied to me:
I told them that (d) and (f) are common usage when goes overseas and update iOS firmware. And I do not encounter such charges when I was with M1. No reply from them
If you have resolved this Global SMS issue, please help. Thank you very much!

Users will also incur iMessage / Facetime activation charges if they process the following actions on their iPhone/iPads:
a) Toggling the iMessage / Facetime button in Settings, Phone from OFF to ON.
b) Erasing all content & settings in your iPhone/iPad
c) Restoring your iPhone/iPad as new or from a backup copy in iTunes
d) Replacing the current micro SIM card with another programmed with a different mobile number
e) Change of mobile number via mobile number portability
f) Updating your firmware/iOS for your handset
