Hi guys

I am new to this fire stuff and I just signed up for the maxinfinity ultimate.

At the moment I have my TP in the living room.
But I am more of the heavy user of the Internet in my household.

So do I actually install another TP in my room or just the ONT as I would like to have direct wired connection to my PC.

Thanks!

another TP = another internet as well?

if not then,
Homeplugs.

I think SH blocks P2P after the last maintenance. I cannot stream anything. Anyone can verify?

Hi, I just subscribed to Starhub Maxinfinity fibre and did a speedtest and results came out to be only less than 20mbps. I'm using a crappy belkin wireless adapter btw, does it makes a difference in the download speed?

if you are using a crappy belkin wireless adaptor means your theological maximum speed is 56mbps. as such, getting 20mbps is very normal.

In additional, the distance etc is a major factor.

Try plugging in directly and do speed test and see if it's working fine.

I figured that would be the best possible way, but it's difficult to do so as I'm using a desktop. Would getting a new wireless usb adapter helps at all? If it does, which one do you guys recommend? By the way I'm using the d-link router that starhub provided me with.

Anyway I tried using the Aztech WL556E as I have one at home, my speedtest results actually dropped, what did I do wrong?
