i checked with SH liao
they say the promo for fiber with HUB promo on the FREE home fix line is valid till 31 July .... nt sure will extend a not.. if no extend customer had to pay $10++ /mth

i also asked
fiber installation fee is $53.50 + activate fee $30++
+
home fix line activate fee $30

so far they have been extending the free every year

u can opt out of the DV if u dun want, DV line activation fee should be wavied if u sign up together with ur fiber

so far i been using the free DV line for more than 3yrs alr

every yr starhub also put vaild until some date and then extend the free phone line, best is go official starhub shop and ask, CSO over the phone can't confirm if the activation is gonna be wavied

MaxInfinity activation fee of $32.10 is chargeable for the activation of each new MaxInfinity access plan.
Digital Voice activation fee of $42.80 is chargeable for New Digital Voice customers, unless otherwise stated.
Digital Voice installation charge of $53.50 applies.

D-Link Wireless Issue

Anyone using D-Link N5402SP got Android wireless issue can try this settings:

Router webui > Advanced > Advanced Wireless > Advanced > DTIM Interval: 1

instead of 100.

it should solve your issue.

will appreciate if some mods could actually edit this in on post #3 of this thread.

Not recommend to subscribe Starhub, try Singtel or M1.
My starhub Fibre line was down last night, call the helpdesk, was told he will inform the maxonline team to check the connection. Waited until 3am still no body call & the Fibre is still not working. Think twice before you sign the contract. Ging to cancel mine when it expire next year.

no, you will not lose the free VoIP services as you stll have to use the Dlink or Huawei Gateway for it to work.

ONT > Huawei/Dlink Gateway > your 3rd party router

All 3 mainstream ISPs for fibre has installation/termination charges. You cannot run away from it...
