hmm.. got an IP address but no net.. what's the current IP address?

182.X

Sorry if you've already done this before already, but are you able to reach the SH gateway?

My WAN IP is currently 182.19.218.x and the gateway IP is 182.19.218.1. Check the router WAN status and try pinging it?

How about 8.8.8.8?

IP 182.X.

drops occasionally. it is on direct connection from PC to ONT. bypassing the router. The router has no problem at all.
Starhub called me and say network engineer will look into it and monitor.

The ping gives negative results. Unreachable host.

Lost faith in Starhub.

I had checked with the technician who replaced the ONT last night.
He also confirmed that once we have a direct connection request, the DLINK RG unit that they provided no longer works.

U mean when u connect the follow

TP -> DIRECT ONT -> Router -> PC no issue
TP -> DIRECT ONT -> PC issue

Is that correct of my understanding?

Think is the other way.

to PC no issue. To router have issue.

Huh.. If to PC no issue.. Then to router got issue..
Then its the router issue already what. Did you try to reset the router?
Did you make sure u connect to the WAN port?

Can MaxInfinity work as follows:

TP -> ONT -> openwrt/tomato router

So we set several VLAN ids. How do we connect however? PPPOE? DHCP? STATIC?

For both those firmwares, I'm able to specify VLAN #, VID

Is this all that's required?

Can anyone help me with this? I can see the VLAN IDs several pages back, but what's this deal with MAC address?

Has anyone here gotten MAX Infinity to work with tomato / openwrt?

Signed up on 8th morning (through website; CSO called me back); earliest appointment 25th, I chose 27th (no morning slots available on 25th). The issue isn't with StarHub - it's with OpenNet. ON needs to activate the fibre before SH (or any other RSP) can come in.

the smartest is, no one call me back to make appointment yet, so inefficient. this is done by starhub internally.
sign up with their 3rd party dealer shop.
