I will probably move out of STARHUB once my contract is up. Cant take it already. At work, the singnet connect makes surfing greatly appreciated which I used to have with Starhub previously.

Now at home, is a pain to even surf the web.
Crap.

Same here. These few days things have got even worse. Many websites simply won't load, i have to click refresh a few times before anything appears.

I have told Starhub that if they cannot solve this connectivity problem to China sites and International sites, then I need to request for early termination of my contract without any penalty whatsoever. Because I rely on the internet for both personal and work use, and I can't do my stuff for the last 2 weeks.

Any suggestions which ISP to go to? I frequent USA sites for work related stuff and at most times to China sites for streaming and also work related stuff too.

I saw on another thread saying M1 has the best peering to China. Is that true?

I may consider either a switch to M1 or MR or VQ. Any advise?

I probably will have to call in citing for the same request.

If internet access is essential to you, get 2 RSP. it doesn't cost a fortune to have 2 RSP, the basic/mid plans are ~$50 for most RSP/ISP.

VQ has great connection to US; M1 is reported to have better connection to China then others, including VQ and MR.

I'm currently using MR primarily and VQ as secondary, SH cable 100 just sitting there waiting for contract to expire. lol

lol those people who bashed me when i criticised SH's network now saying that it's bad too. oh wells.

speedtest.net and speedtest.sg all showed low latency and high speeds, but browsing is super slow. when i ran the speedtest.net test, it took super long to load up the test and connect to the server, but still showed 5ms ping only. SH is really getting from bad to worse.

will jump to M1/VQ/MR asap.

any promo now for starhub fibre?

I suggest you look elsewhere. This week's problem of slow access for international websites is not a standalone. I have only been on their fibre plan for 6 months and experience 3 major incidents. Twice the problem lasted 2 to 3 days, this time it lasted 1 week. Major because the internet was almost unusable. On all 3 occasions, their technical agent claim no knowledge of any incident with their network while everyone on facebook and hwz were experiencing issues.

Just take some time to read through this thread and you will realise how bad their fibre is. If they are to offer me 50% off every month or contract termination right now, i will gladly take the latter. Frequent internet disruptions, unstable connections and almost non-existence technical support, all there are not worth the headache even at half the price.

Hi guys, given a choice between 100Mbps cable and 200Mbps fibre, which one is more reliable? Recontracting soon, thanks.

dont choose starhub more reliable....

I also wish but I have quite a lot of services from Starhub.

Let's say if I get rid of all Starhub services. Is VQ the best broadband provider in Singapore? Do they have mobile connections too?
