There could be a possibility whereby they have yet to complete the work order at the backend. Although your account details shows that you are on MIF 150.

Lol that what i suspected.... My installation date was 30th March... they told me the new plan will be active in 24 to 48hrs...

Starhub CSO and network team confirmed that i am on Homehub 500....

well, it took them a long time to respond.... lolxxx.. guess no one give a **** about their dual broadband

Dual broadband is a marketing gimmick and most of the time you don't need it if you own a good router.

Secondly if both the fiber and cable points are located in the living room assuming none of them in the bedroom then what's the point of having dual broadband?

Cause it serve no purposes at all.

I wanted to upgrade my fibre 200M, $39.90/mth to dual home broadband. They do not allow even i agreed to resign 2 years contract without free equiptment and pay more every month.

Starhub's only advantage is they throw in basic cable TV (lite) for broadband subscribers which also saves them the trouble to get a set top box to watch free to air channels in HD.

COrrection, its just the normal analog setup box. Do read the terms of the starhubtv lite.

I also sign up for it...but when the hubtrooper come my place, they mentioned only analog set top box (NO HDMI port and no support for HD channel)... must add $2 for HD box per month. :s22:

17.^ Hubstation Set-top boxes will be issued by default, but this is subject to availability of stock. In the event that a Hubstation Set-top box is not available, an alternative HD Interactive Set-top Box (Cisco) will be issued instead.

Hmm I thought they have shut down the analog network? Are you referring to SD set top box?

Not sure will this have speed-throttling unlike the dual broadband 1000.

My P2P live streaming traffic on HomeHub 200 is quite bad during peak hours and on weekends its worst. Other than that I actually find Starhub network traffic management is slightly than Singtel.

I'm at least getting 150mbps on wired (cat 6) so if you want to achieve high speed wireless you must be on the 5Ghz band. However the range for 5GhZ is shorter compared to 2.4GhZ band.
