Hi micheloving,

it is a 5 room flat. Budget <$400. Router will be place in my room. All of the connection will be less than 15 meters from the router either in my room or the other room just beside mine.

Asus AC87 or AC3200 should be able to meet your requirements.

Thanks. I thought for Asus AC87 too. Just wondering do i need that when most of the time it will be only 2 user using (1 Lan , 1 wireless. 2nd wireless is use when i am the one turning on)

Which 1Gbps plan do you plan to sign up?

will be using starhub 1Gbps Fibre Broadband plan.

If that's the case, I'll suggest you get the cheaper AC68U. It's more stable and still one of the best router out there. More than enough for your needs.

Anyway, when is your installation date? Able to post your speed test here?

Just recontracted from my 200MB Fiber @ $69.90 to 1GB Fiber @ $49.90

They giving D-Link AC Router DIR-868L

Asked the CSO if got Speed throttling.
She say No..

Is there a way to test when they come to install?
Coming this Friday for the installation.

Speed throttling you can't just test with speedtest.net. You have to try it out during peak hours and better to use p2p client to see what is the download speed.

Able to post a speed test result over here after your installation? Still deciding which plan to go for.

I think what he meant was the technician will come down to install the free DIR-868L and test it out for him.

oh. Another 6 months before I can call them :(

From what I know Starhub allows a subscriber to upgrade their current service plan to a higher end service plan but not they other way round. Once you choose to upgrade your service plan your 24 months contract will restart from the day the new service plan takes effect.
