Fake one. You know telco can give speed priority to speed test servers?

Ever tried burst weekend data then kena throttled. All connection is dropped to 1mbps. But speedtest speed minimum 30mbps. Damn clear they prioritise speedtest servers to give best results.

No point having fastest network when network availability is lowest, and the ping the highest. You don't need fastest download/upload speed when doing web browsing / video streaming, as long as it is 20+ Mbps for LTE is fast enough alr for HD streaming. More important is the latency / ping, where lower ping would result in more responsive network.

Singtel and M1 have <30ms latency for 4G, something that's noted by OpenSignal for being rare. StarHub has >30ms, which is decent but certainly slower.

Singtel and M1 both have 3G latency below 45ms, something that many networks barely have for 4G latency. StarHub is over 50ms, around 10-15ms slower than the two other telcos.

Btw, the official reports by IMDA for the 4G coverage testing for last quarter is out already.

Historically, M1 inbuilding coverage is usually the weakest (far behind rivals), but nowadays it's alr on par with the rivals already. Outdoor coverage also the same thing, last time huge gap now become in line.

Now M1 just have to enhance the service in some of the areas (*cough* North East Line), and they're alr almost as good as SingTel already.

Have to agree that M1 latency is superb, fast and responsive. Not necessarily the speed, but it's data speeds is very responsive.
