Is there any trick to the order confirmation page? No matter which available date/time I chose for delivery, it will bring me back to Delivery and Installation page with the message "The port activation slot you selected has been booked. Please try booking a different available slot.".

Those who want the TP-Link HB710 don't bother going to Carousell. All sell way above Starhub price.
Starhub stores can get for $192 with warranty. Carousell sellers even brand new and sealed. No warranty and don't want to help with proof of purchase if ever need to do warranty claim with TP-Link

If this is for the Starhub 5Gbps $29.55 plan, just WhatsApp Selina from Starhub: 8116 1630
She will hook you up. She reply quite fast.

After StarHub didn't turn up for their installation appointment yesterday, they today sent a SMS telling me an appointment has been made on next week. Didn't even consult if I'm available. Nor apologise for yesterday failing to turn up for their appointment.

Good luck for those signing up with them.

I'll not be proceeding with this installation as I am fed up with them.

They are too busy as too many people jumped over to SH. Just call them to cancel it or change appointment date.

I signed up for this 29.55 plan in October. With the Nokia ONT modem I noticed frequent internet disconnection. My wife who wfh most the times complained about this also. We have to restart the modem every now and then to get the internet back. We've been doing this workaround for weeks until we got fed up. I tried with 3-different routers but the issue remains. I contacted SH with the suspicion of faulty modem, and ask for replacement. The trooper arrived on the appointment date without a modem. Instead he replaced the fibre optic cable (yellow) with a 'thicker' size. He mentioned this fault is common with the Nokia modem. The connection has been stable after that. But SH charges $13 as transportation fee.
To those who are going for the installation, insist on the "thicker" fibre optic cable to avoid frustration.

Ps. You can also buy the thicker cable from lazada as a cheaper option then replace by yourself.

It could be due to the first fibre they provided was dirty and causing interference, for fibre the thickness is not likely to matter. Getting one designed for laser use (OS2 would work) is probably the better option for the ONT.

If they reused your GPON fibre patch cable, it was likely OS1 and on the cable it'll say G652 (if OS1 isn't printed on it). The OS2 cable may write G652D (which would work), or the better G657 on it which should provide better tolerance.

Can call to waive it. During installation, they clear my TP port too.

The first fibre was new out of the box with the Nokia modem. So it's not dirty. And the trooper that came down carrying the replacement 652D fibre looked so confident it will solve the issue. Saying it's a common issue with this Nokia modem.

New out of box does not make it not dirty though. When the installer unplug the caps, and install it, he could have introduced dirt to it when using the patch cable to do the signal reading with his signal meter.

Best practice is to wipe the ends with a alcohol wipe that is non abrasive before doing any reinsertion.

I had similar disconnect issues too. But in my case I was itchy backside and reused my old ONT cable. Replaced it with the one from SH and all was resolved.

EDIT: went to check my packaging and I got the G657A2 cable.

Thanks a lot for the reports.

As mentioned earlier there were multiple reports of Nokia ONT quality issues in this forum from SH (XS-240X-A) and MR ( mainly XS-250X-A) users.

Looks like the Fibre cable quality issue may be one major contribution.
