and alas.. my AC68U cant turn on at all :( so now using my linksys WRT1900AC temporarily and it is so slow :(

Sorry but that reply has nothing to do with your question. It is about IPv6.

No idea about what you are asking either. What do you mean by dedicated line or dedicated channel. What exactly do you want to achieve?
what i want is to have a wifi purely for my laptop and not the shared one with everything else

To me this does not make any sense.

Anyway, one possible solution is to create a guest network for your laptop.

It will still share the total bandwidth with other wired/wireless devices.

Thanks for the confirmation that Starhub 5Gbps offer at S$29.55 per month (with free HB710) is gone.

I will suggest you wait a bit -- M1 6Gbps should be available soon, worst case may be by the end of June 2025 or early July 2026.

But if you are inpatient, Starhub 3Gbps at S$29.55 per month with free HB410 is still not bad.
https://www.starhub.com/personal/forms/hubbing/3gbps-broadband-exclusive.html

You can also look other ISP offers mentioned here to see if you want to take a look at the plans from other ISPs.

M1 seems to have increased their price for the 6gbps plan... Now I see 47.9/m. I guess I'll wait and see how then.

Hello all

I am on the StarHub 5gbps Nokia ONR plan for the last 2 months. Feel that it gets disconnected quite often vs my old m1 line. not sure why. Should I reset the ONR to refresh it or need some admin password from StarHub and can’t do it by myself

Also, I tried to set up DNS to 1.1.1.1 on the Nokia app but it doesn’t seem to work and keep reverting back to default (which I assume is StarHub dns)
I went into the webgui but I can’t even find DNS option in the advanced settings. Is there a way to change the DNS?

Please call SH 1633 technicial support to request the change from ONR to ONT as this is a known issue on this Nokia ONR. Tell them Intermittent disconnection of the internet on Nokia ONR so you request SH to change to ONT. Earlier i suggested SH to do away this Nokia ONR because of this intermittent disconnection. I also changed from ONR to ONT and buy EB810v from SH.

Thanks for the solution, will try calling them. Is there any option that I don’t have to pay more? Trying to save money here. Money tight nowadays :(

Called them, the tech support said will refresh on her side and ask me to monitor again

Thanks for the update on M1. Indeed there is no more S$34.90 new user offer for M1 6Gbps plan.

In this case, it is better to wait for new deals.
Damage limitation this time round for M1 :D. I think both Starhub and M1 has hit their jackpot target lol. My republic come up with 10gps 43SGD.. but then.... timing la... lol. but Starhub 5GBPS plan is just too good to ignore.

Such refresh thing will not resolve the issue as it is hardware not so good so i suggested to do away with Nokia ONR and SH did it. Actually this EB810v at this price is not expensive at all and it is essential thing to have. The best solution for money tight is to find a better pay job or secure a promotion and not save such essential thing. Very important to find better pay job when got such issues. Usually living in condo and driving a car will drain out your fund so i never want to do that.

Getting a TP-Link HB710 to renew contract with SH, can I use those sold by users from My Republic?

Yes. In fact when I bought HB710 from Starhub Jurong Point shop at S$192 back in Dec 2024, it is an MR version.

No real difference between MR and SH version.
