any idea why new account can't sign up the $29.55 ONT plan. it keeps showing error. But when I used my family member (which already have a starhub broadband service) it shows able to sign up for additional plan. Thanks
Anyone knows? Thanks

Have been crawling weeks ago (my unit under reno), estimated move in date will be next month so time for me to shop for new ISP.

Is there any change to port forward when using the nokia ONR? Just for little home automation hobby and hope I don't have to do unnecessary complex reverse proxy.

Why take risks in this case? Go with the ONT option.

hand still shaking from paying reno bills

Hopefully you still have S$192 left for TP-Link HB710. 🤣

I need more coverage on my home network with the TP-Link HB710, what can I do?
You can extend the coverage by purchasing another TP-Link HB710 or EB810v from StarHub. Additional units can be purchased at $8 per month for HB710, $15 per month for EB810v (for 24 months) during initial sign-up or cash & carry from our retail store and Hub Troopers at $192 or $360 respectively.

Yes I support going for ONT version, since you are able to choose your own router, you can choose the one with more powerful processor to be able to route the "network packets" faster which in turn means faster network performance when multiple devices and users are using lots network bandwidth at the same time.

even if port speed is 10Gbps, if router processor is not up to mark, network packet do not get process promptly will be dropped at router end and the sender (server) "on the internet" would need resend these network packet.

*sorry if it sound technical

just asked my ID, more headache, the space available in db box neither fit EB810V (262.5 × 302 x 96mm) nor XS-2426X-A (226 x 175 x 85mm), only can fit XS-240X-A (208 x 142 x 37 mm). she suggest to put the AP at tv area (where I have cat6e cable).

Any potential issue for such arrangement? If im not mistaken, only 1 LAN from the ONT can be used, this means i wont be able to do wired backhaul as
DB Box (ONT) -> Living Room (EB810V)
DB Box [wasted] -> Study Room

Solution is to go with Option 2 in this FAQ --> to have two LAN ports close to each other in the living room to place the EB810v and add a 10G switch in the DB Box.

how about install a simple wooden panel above (or near) the DB box and place the router there?

Not sure what you mean here.

1) The normal 5Gbps plan with ONT+HB710 is still there.
https://www.starhub.com/personal/st.../ultraspeed-5gbps-hb710_ultraspeed-5gbps.html

UltraSpeed 5Gbps with ONT +WiFi 7 Router
$48.92 per month
1 Free TP-Link HB710 WiFi 7 router

2) As for the special 5Gbps offer at S$29.55 per month, I am not so sure whether you can add HB710 during the sign-up process (need confirmation from others). But still you should be able to get HB710 cash and carry at S$192 later.

For Ont 29.55, can buy either nokia beacon 2 or EB810 during sign-up. This was when I signup end of October, no HB710 yet.

When I returned the old modem, I bought HB710. Now I am thinking why I impulse buy. Haha.

Now can try EB810v + HB710 mesh. Haha.

Or if not needed, just sell HB710 for a bit of profit.

lol it seems that hb710 is only exclusive to starhub 5/10gbps users now. currently cheapest 1wan1lan10g 6ghz wifi7 router. also so new, that no1 selling in carousell. maybe good item to flip to those non starhub users
