starting work 1 day after ord

hi bros just wondering if its possible to straight away start work 1 day right after ord. will there be any restrictions like i heard some people talking about SAF100 being able to recall you or something like that? but i havent gotten my pink ic yet due to the covid situation.

Shouldn’t you post such qns to your unit if you want certainty?

If not if the company is ok to hire you without NRIC I don’t see why not.

If you got no SAF100 means don’t have right?

So if someone here say can, and you get caught. U say someone on the forum say can?

Most coy will want your ord cert as reference and you only get that on ur last day,
Unless you timed it well and coy dun mind you submitting the cert later , then i dun see any issue.

I was with an evergreen unit, I get call back for 1 day orns within the year I ord.

And i have no idea why you asked that because you will still get your pink IC back at the ORD day itself.

As for being called back, unless you are having some important appointment position (in which you should know the answer to your question). Other than that it's at least a year later before they call you.

Another case is whereby it falls during your mob manning period.. Then yes, you have high chances of being activated.

even if called back whats the issue ?

he would just be like any other sinkie male employee in the company. employer can claim make up pay, etc.

but vocation n pes some do ask u to fill in in the application form.. but dont think any use for them, more of curiosity esp if the interviewer or boss is a male sinkie.

I have never been asked to show COS be it during interviews or first day of work. Application form will usually ask for NS status, unit, vocation & sometimes PES status but no doc proof required. IC is even easier. Just use your 11B & if they ask u explain that u have ORD but due to covid there is delay in getting pink ic. Give them your chief clerk phone no to call & confirm if they don’t believe.

They won't disturb you so soon unless you did something wrong. Best to rest for 1 to 2 weeks and enjoy civi life before working
