Hi all

I have MacBook Pro 2017 with 256 SSD and high sierra . Last time when the free space gone around 10 GB the startup disc is almost full pop out few times but after I closed the message it never pop out again even freespace reach below 5 GB.

When it reach 5 GB I never feel slow down or error at all. Of course after that I would back up file to get freespace more than 10 GB.

How to make the warning pop out again ?

What is minimum freespace for 256 GB SSD ?

Thank

Minimum free space? I've read it should be ten percent of total capacity.

However there is nothing to stop you using up the whole capacity. Just be aware the OS needs to reserve some space for its own internal processes.
